It is willful ignorance that is the biggest cause of conflict in our world today – The Modern Know-it-all: A Handbook To Achieving An Infallible Worldview”

*side note going forward- uncapitalized religions and personnel names of the like is intentional, not a grammatical oversight*

Within this blog I will lay out a summary of how the USA has arrived to its current state of tense polarization while also presenting a structured road map to executing real change, not the circular attempts at change that we’ve seen thus far.

In order to tackle this gargantuan spiderweb of societal cause and effect, we have to start at the very beginning to understand the clusterfuck that we face today.

Now, these next few paragraphs and sections may seem irrelevant and repetitive, but hang with me, for I promise that the dots will systematically connect as the blog progresses.

Let’s quickly recap our accurate history and introduce the root cancer at the core of this country’s continuous self-destruction.

USA origin story

The accurate origin story

This chunk of earth that we now call the USA was originally inhabited by many different indigenous groups who practiced their own unique religious spiritual beliefs and rituals. Despite what any other current American claims, the truth is that this land that we now call the USA has always been and will always be the land of indigenous religious beliefs.

White European intruders (not explorers) began arriving on the east coast in the 16th century. Now, some were escaping persecution and some were seeking economic opportunity; nevertheless, this was a coordinated infiltration/conquest/acquisition of land that was not originally theirs.

This invasion of white Europeans came with calculated deception, violence, and most notably, catholicism.

Now, humans invading other humans was nothing new at this point in history, but what’s interesting about our species is that it is always the invader’s religion or faith that squashes out the religion or faith of the conquered.

Islam had its fair share of conquering others and planting their religious flag, and Southeast Asia had it’s own quarrels over staking and defending it’s claim to buddhism or hinduism (although these two were mostly peaceful faiths).

Yet in this particular period of history, catholic and christian imperialism was quite prominent throughout our entire globe.

It very well could have been muslim invaders that came to this USA land and squashed out Native American spirituality and forcefully replaced this land’s default religion with islam. It very well could have been hindu or buddhist invaders that landed on the west coast of the states and squashed out Native American spirituality from the west to east.

However, based on the way of global happenings at the time, it would first be catholicism and then christianity that came into this land and claimed superiority over the original inhabitants and its original spirituality.

This occurrence certainly wasn’t because catholicism or christianity was better than or more true than any other made up faith, but simply because of the geographical development of these two particular faiths and their prime setup to expand via the advanced resources and conquer-obsessed culture of it’s carriers, the white Europeans.

In this period of our existence, these white European catholics and christians slowly and methodically virtually stole the majority of North America, the Caribbean, Central and South America by means of advanced weaponry, foreign disease, and exploitation all in the name of their scripture and delusory exceptionalism.

This global onslaught wasn’t designed by any mythical cosmic being or ordained by an invisible space wizard, for its “success” was merely fueled by Europe’s geographical resources, a strong European agricultural fiscal support, and an inter-continental competitive market that pushed weaponry innovation to favor the white European’s military conquests.

Even though these white European invaders claimed that their christian/catholic god was behind their global “success”, nothing of supernatural nature truly was.

Frankly, this is a good truth, because if this hypothetical christian/catholic god was indeed “blessing” all the rape, torture, murder, deceit, theft, and manipulation that went into the claiming of the USA or any other country, I’d seriously question the sanity of anyone that chooses to worship this hypothetical abusive and twisted psychopath.

In the 1700’s, more and more white Europeans flooded into America while naturally bringing along their birthplace faiths consisting of various catholic sects and of christian denominations.

When the USA first implemented it’s ideological startups in the 1700’s, the top European white leaders did not establish this invaded land as a christian or catholic country.

In fact, they made it a point to declare America a land where one could exercise whatever faith they so desired. Back in this time of our history, catholic and christian infighting between denominations all across Europe was bloody and relentless.

Considering this, it is possible the founding politicians were only referring to this new America as a land where all of their white-skinned brethren could live in peace under different factions of catholicism or christianity. Or, maybe they were truly opening the door for muslims, hindus, buddhists, and others that were outside of their white-skinned religion to come live freely with them.

Who knows their authentic intention; regardless, the truth still remains that the USA was never founded as a christian nation.

Yet, even though it was not a catholic or christian country, the fact remains that this new America was still full of white christians and white catholics that continued to breed and pass along their faith and worldview to their offspring.

And that is our essential quick summary of the USA’s beginnings.

Today, America’s greatest hindrance to growth and it’s #1 cause of polarizing conflict comes down to willful ignorance in several key areas of its societal identity. This country is in need of a reckoning, a rebranding, and a restructuring.

Here’s the business plan on exactly how to fix a broken USA and make it truly great, in order of imminent importance.

Religion is a cancer in America

The Reckoning

It’s time to be done with this unoriginal and misguided obsession with the white-skinned invader’s faith

I was born in 1983. For myself, as a white male born in the USA, odds were naturally very high of me being systematically indoctrinated into one of the many branches of christianity.

The timing of my birth in 1983 was unique in the sense that I came into a USA that was hot off the press of the massive dopamine hype of the 1970’s “jesus movement”. This addictive group think hoopla then began to evolve with that generation and heavily infiltrate the USA’s political and cultural identity in the 1980’s and 1990’s.

Similar religious influence was implanting itself throughout the socio-political leadership in many predominately muslim countries as well during this time.

It was this period of the 1980’s and 1990’s that for some bizarre reason, religious political radicalization- be it a christianity push or islamic push- went absolutely bonkers in just about every category of societal impact in our respective regions of the world.

Back to the USA in this period, I was seeing it all unfold- focus on the family, the 700 club, young life and teen mania, the Billy Graham evangelistic association, the christian homeschooling grassroots, the rise of contemporary christian music, the explosion of christian fundamentalism, the conservative political coalition, the far right news media upsurge, among more.

I saw myself along with just about all of my other white-skinned relatives obsessed with “god and country”, and we were just a few of the millions that were on this hyped christian nationalist bandwagon. I would even end up going abroad right out of high school as a missionary for a few years and nearly died out there for the sake of my faith.

You see, us pre-2000’s evangelicals were on a relentless mission- a mission no different than our islamic radicals in a different part of our world- to get our one “true” religion into our laws, schools, government, sporting events and advance our make believe spiritual realm to the gain of our mythical lord.

This cultural movement sold guaranteed dopamine, a strong communal sense of belonging and purpose, a means to enforcing morals and ethics, and also netted some massive monetary profits for those capitalizing on the business and political end.

By 2001, this American christian nationalist ideology consisted of many different generations and had spread like a wildfire across the country. And then 9/11 occurred, which only dumped lighter fluid on a societal trend that was already showing no signs of emotional regulation.

This chronological sequence of events- from the jesus movement into the 80’s and 90’s conservative political resurgence into the events of September 11th, 2001- would end up creating the majority of the republican political figures and far right activists and influencers that we see pushing conservative rhetoric today.

Now, there’s a reason that being done with christianity once and for all is the number one most important step to healing this entire country. American christianity is the fundamental cancer to the division that we suffer through today.

It’s been this christianity that has suppressed human rights and freedoms, been manipulated to advocate for ethnic exceptionalism and privilege, fought against science and societal evolution, modified to enforce racism and superiority, brainwashed magic-inspired literature into impressionable offspring and forced this abusive, outdated death-cult indoctrination into schools and into our political system.

Remember, there’s nothing special about any faith over another, and christianity has only been popular here in the USA because it was the primary faith of past white-skinned invaders and of the white-skinned immigrants that followed.

You see, it doesn’t matter if one prays to one of the 10,000 made up gods, or to made up gandalf, or to made up santa claus. All are not real, and choosing to worship that which is not real falls under the definition of delusional. But America was founded as just the haven, right? This was intended to be a land where you can be as weird and insane as you want within your own home.

Yet just as radical muslims couldn’t keep their nonsense regulated to within their own home is as radicalized christians couldn’t keep their delusions contained either.

This religious oppression infiltrated our political system heavily through the 1960’s to early 2000’s and has been the driving misinformation that not only has created the majority of what the republican party functions off of, but has been a subtle instigator that quietly divides us and erodes us.

So with this accurate information, let me now pause and give a brutally honest bipartisan reality check to American believers that are reading this now:

To any white-skinned christian (any denomination) or catholic (any sect) democrat reading this now: you only believe what you believe not because it’s correct, true, or meant to be, but solely because it so happened to be the faith of your white-skinned ancestors and you just so happened to either be born into familial tradition or were influenced by the most popular religious trend of your geographical birthplace or swayed by the societal group think of your piers.

The USA has never been a christian country and will never be a christian country.

To any white-skinned christian (any denomination) or catholic (any sect) republican reading this now: you only believe what you believe not because it’s correct, true, or meant to be, but solely because it so happened to be the faith of your white-skinned ancestors and you just so happened to either be born into familial tradition or were influenced by the most popular religious trend of your geographical birthplace or swayed by the societal group think of your piers.

The USA has never been a christian country and will never be a christian country.

To any non-white-skinned christian (of any denomination) or catholic (of any sect) republican or democrat reading this now: you only believe what you believe not because it’s correct, true, or meant to be, but solely because it so happened to be the faith of your ancestors that came here by whatever means or circumstances and you just so happened to either be born into familial tradition or were influenced by the most popular religious trend of your geographical birthplace or swayed by the societal group think of your piers.

The USA has never been a christian country and will never be a christian country.

To ALL christian or catholic Americans reading this: your faith is nothing more than a by-product of traceable historical events, of where you happened to be born, and of your raised familial and cultural environment.

Mythical and objective reality should never mix when it comes to creating laws, systems, and social structures that affect us all collectively.

This idea is essentially the whole point of separating church and state within any societal government. The “church” influence revolves around mythical-inspired, dopamine fueled delusions, while the “state” must focus on objective pragmatic human needs.

Just as no parent or mentor or school teacher should be raising children to cognitively operate on that which are solely fantasied, emotionally fueled delusions is as no country’s political leadership on any level should ever be making or approving illusory decisions or laws over their fellow species.

The healing of the USA begins with the realization that the most authentic faith for any human worldwide is absolutely no religion or faith at all. Just as we came into this world with no knowledge of made-up gods and no allegiance to made-up gods is as we all should be functioning as grown ass adults.

I completely understand that faith, religion, and the physical church used to be one of the only means to community, dopamine, and discovering purpose, and I understand that the USA has grown with those routines and rituals. Yet today, more than ever, we have endless opportunities to reap the same human needs without mysticism attached.

So then, fixing this broken USA begins with the following:

  • A nationwide awareness that the white-skinned invader’s faith is not special, but merely a hand-me-down worldview comprised of outdated ignorance
  • Coming to a reckoning that the white-skinned invader’s faith has only thrived here because of the influx of white-skinned immigrants that followed the invaders and continued breeding here
  • Recognizing the silliness in christianity’s campaign in the USA today and immediately shutting down christian nationalist involvement in our laws, our governing bodies, and keeping that inaccurate ideology as far away from the schools and the children as possible

The USA was never a christian nation and it will never be one. Separate church and state for real this time, and to the American believers on both sides- the time has come to grow out of past down willful ignorance.

Nationwide healing begins with this reckoning.

The USA rebrand

The Rebranding

We’ve made a lot of mistakes that require a complete culture change

Have you ever had a close friend or a relative that cheated on their spouse and then ended up separating with that spouse to go on and have a long life with their newfound love?

If you’ve been apart of this situation before then you may know how it feels to not be a fan of how your friend or relative’s new relationship began, but you are supportive of their journey and happy that they have found something potentially great.

That may be how the majority of our world has felt about the USA over some time- more of a “not a fan of your beginning and choices along the way, but hoping that you figure it out and find peace and happiness!”

Aside from screwing over the indigenous tribes here, the USA did initially create something great- a place to be free to speak, free to practice faith, free to defend yourself, free to become educated, free to make dreams become a reality, and much more.

After defending this already stolen land from another invasion of different white-skinned people being the English army, the USA would settle down and truly establish a society that would be at the time, the envy of the majority of the world.

This is where the saying/ideology of “America is the greatest country in the world” first began. However, this is also where this internationally known brand started making some horribly ignorant choices:

  • Continued to push christianity and catholicism into politics, laws, schools, etc. But we already covered this point
  • Other than the horrendous American Indian Wars, the USA unjustly and corruptly got into the Mexican- American War, the War Of 1812, the Spanish-American War, the Vietnam War, and the Iraq War
  • Of course, the USA brought in slaves to grow the economy and then entered a complicated civil war with each other. Slavery was nothing new at this time in history, but it took America way too long to begin recognizing racial equality and making amends for mistakes- thus creating lingering societal issues today
  • Specific events of secrecy and ethical breach that have deeply impacted America’s reputation- the unnecessary dropping of the atomic bombs on Japan, supplying weapons to numerous authoritarian right-wing dictatorships in Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East to counter perceived communist threats, assisting in the overthrowing of governments in Guatemala, Iraq, and Iran, the shady insider happenings around September 11th, 2001, among many other despicable political moves home and abroad

All this to say, violence has flowed through the socio-cultural veins of the USA from the very first Native American that was murdered. And millions of innocent lives around the world have been needlessly slaughtered by the American military since its inception.

To be fair, many countries have their own share of bloody hands and corrupt moments of history. However, the difference between how other countries have addressed their mistakes versus how the USA has addressed theirs is mind blowing.

The majority of the developed nations in our world have taken ownership of past atrocities and funneled fiscal priorities into first making amends to the harmed, then re earning respect among allies, and then began pouring resources into their own people and societal pipeline.

The majority of the developed world has humbly raised it’s head and rebranded itself.

And while other nations were rebranding, the USA only kept flexing in front of the mirror while muttering to itself, “You’re the greatest country in the world!” The American politicians kept touting that phrase to the media and to the American people, as if let’s just keep pretending we never left the 1700’s.

The American government then kept injecting steroids into its ego while it stared at the mirror- pouring more and more money into the military, into power, into global control, and into this obsession to brainwash it’s civilians to keep believing in a cosmic daddy (the christian god’s a man, duh), that there’s no need to address blaring domestic issues, and to keep standing proud to that piece of color-dyed fabric, keep up with the weird anthem rituals, keep telling the world that we’re the greatest and remain thankful that you live in a “free” country.

Meanwhile, the rest of our developed neighbors diligently worked on actually becoming “great” and more “free”. Resources shifted to improving their country’s infrastructure, healthcare, schools and secondary education, technological innovation, mental health care, immigration inclusion, childcare, working wages, social benefits, expanding human freedoms and rights, allocating tax money back into the pragmatic civilian needs, and more enhancements to their people’s quality of life.

While the USA spent years jerking off it’s ego, the remainder of the developed world’s rebranding campaign couldn’t have been more successful. For the data around overall quality of life and happiness, the self-proclaimed “greatest country in the world” and “leader of the free world” has tanked to around 20th place (individual categories rank way worse) and consistently drops year after year, while others continually perfect actual “greatness”.

The American brand has been tainted for too many years now, and its government along with mostly the republican party and its voters has strangled the country’s evolution with outdated ideologies and religious and patriotic delusions.

To heal America and see it become truly “great”, this nation must throw that mirror to the floor, snap out of its narcissism, realize that their longtime brand clearly isn’t succeeding, and then implement a culture change from the top down and humbly rebrand itself.

Americas blank slate

The Restructuring

Societal priorities need to be analyzed and significantly adjusted based on pragmatism

By phasing out the obsession with the white skinned invader’s faith and rebranding it’s national image to regain the trust of it’s civilians and respect from the world, the USA can made substantial progress to healing, unity, and greatness.

However, there still needs to be one last execution to fully complete a national makeover- a political and fiscal restructuring.

Achieving global greatness isn’t a competition or race. However, what does make a country great is based on the extent to which the government and social structure supports it’s own people toward everyone having a happy, educated, monetarily successful, and physically and mentally healthy one life.

Today, with America’s current administration, it is mind boggling to witness a campaign that sells “let’s become great!” while making just about every decision that moves the country in the opposite direction of great.

Goodness, it’s not rocket science to know that crime, poverty, racial tension, societal division and the overall burden on society will not improve by cutting funding to education, mental health services, access to food, access to healthcare, aid to the disabled, aid to the Native Americans, scientific research and development, racial equality programs, among more.

The USA is fast tracking its way to truly becoming a “shithole country” if you will, and the current facist administration is essentially implementing a genocide of anyone that is not monetarily wealthy by birth or by circumstantial luck throughout life.

With that, here is how America can politically and fiscally restructure itself to reverse its current course from an embarrassing self-destruction back toward achieving greatness:

Political Restructuring

  • No more red and no more blue, no more north and no more south, no more us vs them. The American political party system has unfortunately evolved into a structure that is designed to naturally fuel civil unrest and division. Both parties and the electoral voting system need to be demolished and replaced with one leader with no affiliation put in by popular vote along with a senate-like advisor cabinet of no affiliations put in by popular vote
  • By dismantling the democrat and republican parties, we can phase out the most threatening cancers that push christian nationalist ideologies, or any lingering nationalism whatsoever, out of top level decision making that affect us all. We start from scratch with a hard line between church and state
  • Corporate influence in American politics must be regulated better and kept more accountable. We shouldn’t be a developed country claiming to be a democracy that has the rich and the oligarchs calling the shots. By restructuring the political hierarchy, we can finally become a democracy that is run by decency and not by a particular party that has the fullest pockets

Fiscal Restructuring

  • #1 change: no more military spending! Stop flexing in front of the mirror! Implement a basic border defense package and that is it. No more sending weapons into other country’s ridiculous quarrels and no more expanding military presence throughout the world. Stop using our taxes to jerk off an imaginary ego and redirect the hundreds of billions of dollars back into actually making this country great
  • Fix the damn healthcare system. Here, we just opened up hundreds of billions of dollars taken from our military steroid usage and world police addiction. So to the leaders that are not lobbied and not bribed: put your heads together and figure out how to become great in providing affordable healthcare for every citizen
  • Finally, by restructuring our government and by cutting the insane amount of money invested into America’s political and religious delusions, we can FINALLY see our tax money spent on that which can make us truly great and climb back up the global rankings- our infrastructure, our healthcare, our poor, our hungry, our homeless, our disabled, those wronged by past history, into our education, our innovation, into childcare aid, into mental health, into immigrant resources and inclusion, among many more social services

To sum up this business plan on how to fix a broken USA and make it truly great, here are my final notes…

Even though that I know without a doubt 110% that the execution of this proposed business plan would propel America into one of the greatest countries in the world and one of the top leaders of the free world, do I think that my country will wake the fuck up and see these changes through?

Unfortunately, I don’t.

Do I think that our ignorance has drowned to virtually no chance of survival and that it will get much worse in this country before seeing any improvement?

Sadly, I do.

Nevertheless, what makes this business plan special is that even if America evolves out of willful ignorance in phases, even if only the reckoning or only the rebranding or only the restructuring occurs, the results would be astonishing in all the great ways.

Now, it most likely won’t be my generation that witnesses one of these essential executions toward healing and growth, but you never know. America is becoming less religious, more educated, more aware, more vocal, more bold, and more fed up with American willful ignorance by the day.

As long as that momentum continues, and as long as accurate information and “woke” content like this blog keeps getting shared, we may see some drastic unprecedented changes toward true greatness sooner than later.
